Timothy Castagne has admitted ‘the time has come’ to leave Atalanta and that ‘you can’t say no’ to Paris Saint-Germain or Tottenham Hotspur.

Both sides are in the market for full-backs this summer, so Castagne was asked about reports PSG and Tottenham were after him.

“I think the time has come to move on, but I won’t be disappointed if I stay in Bergamo,” the Belgium international told La Derniere Heure.

“I’m very proud of this. It’s proof that hard work pays off. I hope it’s more than just simple interest from them.”

The 24-year-old is known to be an Arsenal fan, so how much would that weigh on a potential move to their arch-rivals?

“I was especially a fan when Thierry Henry played for them. Now I’m not so much.

“You have to be honest with yourself. When a team like PSG or Tottenham come knocking on your door, you can’t say ‘no’.”

Castagne has played 21 times this season, with two goals and two assists, but lost his starting place at the turn of the year.
