Infuriated by Cassano's outburst, Sampdoria have begun steps with the Italian footballing authorities to have his agreement rescinded.
However, speaking exclusively to Premium Football Club, the Bari-born starlet has again asked for forgiveness.
"I take responsibility for my actions, but I want to stay in Genoa," he noted.
"There was a disagreement with the President, in which I used the wrong tone, but I ask for forgiveness in front of all of Italy.
"I want to stay at Sampdoria, I have said that in the past, I am saying it now and will always say it. I want to end my career in Blucerchiato.
"What more can I do than say sorry? I just don't know. They are making me out to be some sort of terrorist.
"I'm sad to have put my teammates in such a difficult situation, even if they did well to net an important victory against Cesena."
Cassano's agent has insisted that silence is now the best policy, while we await a response from Sampdoria after the player's latest public apology.
