The Portuguese striker netted the fastest goal in the history of Serie A against Sassuolo on Sunday but the former Inter and Milan star has revealed Leao could have played on the other side of Milan.
“I really like him, [Piero] Ausilio told me to watch him closely before he joined Milan,” Cassano said on Twitch where every Monday he discusses on Serie A issues with Christian Vieri and other ex-Italian players such as Nicola Ventola and Daniele Adani.
“He told me: ‘Go and watch him’, I know Inter had already signed him,” Cassano added.
“There is only one thing I don’t understand about Leao. What’s his role? Is he a winger? Is he a striker? Which one is his role?” the former Italy international concluded.
