In the early stages of what is anticipated to be at least a six-month recovery period, Mediaset report that the No 99 made his first return to Milanello on Monday to meet with teammates and Coaches as they prepare for the midweek Champions League Group H-decider with Barcelona.

After joking with Clarence Seedorf and Zlatan Ibrahimovic about his appearance and even having Taye Taiwo sing a chorus in his honour, Cassano then met with club doctor Tavana to outline the early stages of his recovery programme that will start with effortless basic aerobic work.
