According to reports in Italy, Cesare Casadei has made a significant change behind the scenes that could lead to a Chelsea exit in January.

The 21-year-old is one of the key players in the Italy Under-20 and Under-21 set-ups, with a likely future call-up to the senior side.

Chelsea purchased the player from Inter for €14.86m plus bonuses in the summer of 2022 and sent him out on loan experiences to Reading and Leicester City.

However, he returned to Stamford Bridge in January 2024 and his odds of getting any playing time even under coach Enzo Maresca are slim.

Casadei has little chance at Chelsea

It was announced today that Casadei has changed his agent, signing up with Epic Sports Italy.

According to Tuttomercatoweb, this is a sign that he is hoping to make a move in the January transfer market.

The wording of the statement from the Epic Sports Italy agency also implied that the plan is to expand his horizons.

“Our professional journey with Cesare starts from London, in the Premier League, where he began the season with the Blues jersey.”
