Sporting director Pierluigi Carta insists Cagliari forward Leonardo Pavoletti will not go anywhere, amid interest from his former club Genoa.
The striker was injured for most of 2019-20 but returned for the last match and Carta says he will be an important member of the squad this season.
He has been linked with a return to the Grifoni on loan but Cagliari are not planning to let him go.
“He’s a very important player for us, he’s not on his way out and we are not looking for a team to park him in,” Carta told Sky Sport Italia.
