Dalian Yifang winger Yannick Carrasco, who has been linked with Milan, Inter and Roma, claimed that “there is a European club interested” in signing him.

The 25-year-old winger joined the Chinese Super League side from Atletico Madrid for €10.5m in February 2018 and has scored seven times in 10 games so far this season.

“There is a European club interested, and I’m willing to sign if they want me,” he said in a Press conference while on international duty with Belgium.

“I hope the deal goes through. I really want to go back and play in Europe. I miss playing at a high level. It is very likely that I will leave China this summer.

“I like Chinese football and think it is getting better, but I want to go back to Europe, mainly for family reasons.

“I hope the President can reach an agreement with the club that wants me. However, I can’t reveal who it is. I have no clauses in my contract, so the teams that want me must go through Dalian. I hope the President understands my situation.”

The Belgium international was linked with both Inter and Milan in January, but those clubs may have lost their interest in the winger due to their backroom changes, as it was Rossoneri technical director Leonardo that was pushing for his arrival at Milanello.

Meanwhile, the former AS Monaco man was offered to the Nerazzurri in January, but his €10m a year wages proved to be a stumbling block.

Roma would only be prepared to bring Carrasco in on loan.
