Sassuolo have several players who are wanted by the giants in Serie A and CEO Giovanni Carnevali has admitted the Neroverdi will ‘evaluate’ possible sales in January.

Ahead of the Neroverdi’s trip to Milan in Serie A, the rumours of possible moves for the stars in Reggio-Emilia continues to be a hot topic.

Manuel Locatelli joined Juventus after winning the European Championship in July, while Domenico Berardi and Giacomo Raspadori were also part of Roberto Mancini’s squad.

Carnevali admitted having three Sassuolo players in the Italy squad was a pleasure for everyone at Mapei Stadium.

“It was obviously an immense satisfaction,” Carnevale told the outlet. “But the merit is exclusively theirs and all of the national team.”

He was then asked if others could follow Locatelli out the door this winter, as several of the players at Sassuolo have been linked with other clubs in Italy and abroad.

“Let’s let January arrive and then we’ll evaluate,” he said. “What I can say is that operations are much more difficult than they used to be, due to the pandemic.

“Juventus would have completed the negotiations for Locatelli much faster in normal times, but in the summer we had to do a great job.”
