Sassuolo director Giovanni Carnevali confirmed the Neroverdi will meet with Juventus over Manuel Locatelli’s move, but are ‘in advanced talks’ with a club from abroad too, believed to be Arsenal.

The Italy international seems set for a move away from the Mapei Stadium this summer, as Carnevali confirmed Sassuolo are in talks with several different sides.

Locatelli has been linked with Juventus in recent weeks, but offers have reportedly arrived from Arsenal and Borussia Dortmund too.

The former Milan player, however, seems to want a move to the Allianz Stadium and during the presentation of Alessio Dionisi as new coach at the Mapei Stadium, Carnevali added that they have scheduled a meeting with Juventus.

“We met with Juve and made an appointment next week, but everything is still to be evaluated,” Carnevali said at a press conference.

“The Italian market is struggling at the moment, the offers have come from abroad, and clearly we have players who are wanted by the big clubs.”

Locatelli has starred for Italy this summer and is currently preparing for the UEFA EURO 2020 Final at Wembley against England on Sunday.

“We are enjoying the moment and will talk to Locatelli after the Euros have concluded, as we want to leave him relaxed and focused until Sunday,” continued Carnevali.

“We received some very important offers for Locatelli, among them one that is at an advanced stage.”
