The Neroverdi director spoke to Gr Parlamento about the economy in football after the pandemic, and doesn’t agree with the FIGC, who officially pushed the deadline of wages to help clubs struggling with the COVID-19 pandemic.

“Honestly, I don’t think it’s right,” Carnevali said. “When we make commitments, we have to keep them and respect all people.

“Maybe the most troubled clubs can find an agreement with the players based on common sense.

“We have already paid for April, this should be normal, any club has to pay wages on a regular basis.

“The possibility of a cut over the last two months is something that must be studied well. It can’t be a speech made by everyone.

“Anyway, I believe that it shouldn’t be possible to allow big signings that allow some clubs to achieve great results if they don’t have the economic possibilities.”
