Gerry Cardinale and Zlatan Ibrahimovic met Milan players before Sunday’s game against Roma and delivered a motivational speech inside the dressing room at San Siro.

Milan TV reports Cardinale and Ibrahimovic motivated Rossoneri players ahead of their meeting with Roma at the Stadio Meazza on Sunday.

The club owner and the freshly appointed director, a former Milan striker, met Pioli’s men inside the dressing at the Stadio Meazza before a key game in the race for the top four.

Milan currently sit third in the Serie A table, 12 points below city rivals Inter, but with a game in hand. Fifth-placed Lazio are six points below the Rossoneri.

Roma, on the other hand, are outside a European placement and sit 8th with 29 points in 19 matches, five fewer than Fiorentina.

Both Milan and Roma were eliminated from the Coppa Italia midweek. The Rossoneri lost to Atalanta at San Siro, while Roma suffered a 1-0 loss in the derby della Capitale against Lazio.
