Valentin Carboni has put pen to paper on a new long-term contract with Inter and is now ready to complete his loan move to Olympique Marseille.
The 19-year-old Argentinian forward shined on loan with Monza last term, scoring two goals and providing four assists across 31 appearances. Simone Inzaghi and the Nerazzurri were impressed by the talented teenager and made it clear that they didn’t want to lose him this summer.
Marseille proved serious suitors for Carboni and eventually agreed to sign the Inter talent on a €1m loan deal with a €35m buy option attached, with €4m in add-ons. The Milanese club will hold a €40m buy-back clause should his move to the French coast be made permanent.
Carboni ‘ready’ for Marseille
Gianluca Di Marzio highlights how Carboni visited the Inter headquarters today to put pen to paper on a new five-year contract worth around €1m net per season plus add-ons and is now ready to complete his transfer to Marseille.
Asked about his goals by gathered reporters, the 19-year-old made a brief comment, stating: “I’m ready to start. My objective is to play and do as best as I can.”
