The Neroverdi scored three goals in 13 minutes to fight back from 3-1 to an eventual 4-3 victory at the Stadio Dall’Ara.

“It was a wonderful game with many goals,” Caputo told DAZN.

“We knew Bologna were tough, but even when 3-1 down, we continued to believe in our football and ourselves, played our game and turned it around the way a great team would.

“We always tried to take control of the match, even when trailing, and continued to work on the ideas that the coach has put into us over the last couple of years.”

Sassuolo are still unbeaten after four rounds and leapfrogged Atalanta by going into second place with 10 points.

“Looking at the table, it can only be pleasing to see us in second place, but we’re keeping our feet on the ground, because we are still only four rounds into the season.

“If we keep up this pace, we can achieve great things.”
