Ciccio has impressed after his arrival from Empoli last summer, as the Neroverdi forward is currently boasting a record of 11 goals in 22 Serie A games this term.

After scoring 42 goals in 79 league games at Empoli the last two seasons, he has targeted 20 goals in his first season at the MAPEI Stadium.

He has revealed his gift if he gets to 20 goals, involving contacting former Juventus hero Alessandro Del Piero and buying a vintage Porche.

“When I was a child, I didn’t have a real idol, but I loved Del Piero,” he told AM Motori e Stili di Vita. “I have always liked him, together with his extraordinary technical qualities, for the mental balance, professionalism and the commitment to the Juventus shirt.

“Unfortunately, I haven’t been able to mee him. Maybe if I score 20 goals, I will contact him to ask him what the secret is to have gain the balance to have such a long career at high level.

“Then I would like to buy a vintage Porsche. Let’s add that to the gift for the 20 goals, but first I have to score them, and they aren’t few.”

After experiencing life under Inter coach Antonio Conte at Bari, Caputo revealed that he would love to reunite with his former coach.

“I will be grateful to Antonio Conte all my life,” he added. “He gave me my debut in Serie B at Bari. I came on and scored a hat-trick.

“Then he wanted me at Siena. He taught me the importance of sacrifice; with him you always must come home ‘boiled’.

“To reunited with Conte in the future would be a dream, because it would most likely mean that you have arrived in the Champions League.”

Caputo has continued his success under Roberto De Zerbi at Sassuolo and said his new coach is similar to Conte in some respects.

“They have similar characters and charisma, but they have different ideas and principles of how to play,” he said. “De Zerbi is giving us a difficult but beautiful idea of football.

“Never a long throw, so much possession and great movement.”
