Nahitan Nandez didn’t show up for the friendly match against Mallorca and Cagliari sporting director Stefano Capozucca said his behaviour ‘will only harden the position’ of President Tommaso Giulini.

The Uruguay international has been pushing for a move to Inter this summer, but Cagliari are not interested in giving a discount on the €36m release clause.

Cagliari shut down Inter talks for Nandez

The Sardinians decided to shut down the negotiation between the two parties and crapped all of the progress made.

Director Capozucca confirms the midfielder ‘didn’t show up’ ahead of the friendly against Mallorca and stressed it will not help the Uruguayan’s situation.

“Nandez didn’t show up for the appointment for the departure to Mallorca, without agreeing on this choice with the club,” Capozucca told TMW.

Report: Nandez didn’t meet up for Cagliari’s trip to Mallorca

“Always behaving with the utmost respect towards the club, the fans, the teammates and the shirt, is an absolute priority for us and certainly having disrespectful attitudes will only harden the position of our President.

“Despite the many economic difficulties of the moment, he will never accept this kind of forcing.”
