Capello pointed at the early penalty too and said the ‘gifted goals’ in both games cost Juventus in the end but claimed Ronaldo ‘being afraid’ in the wall was ‘the worst’.

“The first goal in the first game was a gift,” Capello told Sky Sport Italia. “Great carelessness in the second. Certain goals can’t be conceded.

“The penalty kick tonight is another gift. Too naïve from [Merih] Demiral, you can’t go looking for the interception, it’s a serious mistake.

“But this is the worst: Cristiano Ronaldo jumping and turning in the wall. Whoever is in the wall can’t be afraid of being hit.

“It’s an unforgivable mistake that has no excuses."
