While Clarence Seedorf is expected in Italy for talks, Fabio Capello warns “being Milan Coach is not a joke.”
Rossoneri fans have made it clear they do not want Seedorf to replace Massimiliano Allegri, above all as he has no management experience and is still playing in Brazil with Botafogo.
This is the idea of President Silvio Berlusconi, whose summit with Allegri has been postponed until Thursday.
According to Il Giornale, ex-Milan midfielder Seedorf will be in the city next week on a business trip, as he owns two restaurants, but it could well also be the chance to discuss terms with Berlusconi.
Supporters aren’t the only ones sceptical about the Seedorf plan, as Russia manager Capello is also unimpressed.
“In my view Allegri has worked very well and ought to stay, though we know Presidents have a different way of evaluating situations,” the ex-Milan Coach told La Gazzetta dello Sport.
“I trained Seedorf many years ago and always respected him, but being Coach of Milan is not a joke. As a first experience, it could be a big risk.”
