Juventus striker Dusan Vlahovic is now the joint leading goalscorer in Serie A after six matches with his brace in Saturday’s 3-0 victory away against Genoa, and former Bianconeri coach Fabio Capello pointed out three aspects of the Serbian’s game that stood out.

Though he had not found the net in the month of September before this Saturday, Vlahovic now has four goals from six outings in the lead, having netted braces against both Genoa and Hellas Verona at the end of August.

The 24-year-old grabbed his first from the penalty spot just after the start of the second half, and followed that up with a well-taken finish one-on-one in the area just seven minutes later.

Writing in his La Gazzetta dello Sport column, Capello highlighted three encouraging aspects of Vlahovic’s game after full-time.

He liked the way the Serbian seemed to turn it up to another gear after the penalty went in, showing that he had the hunger and desire to add more to his tally.

Capello also praised the Serbian’s finishing ability, which he felt was ‘very good’. Capello also enjoyed Vlahovic’s movement off the ball, particularly the run that led to the second goal of the evening.

Juventus currently sit at the top of the Serie A table and will finish the weekend no lower than third, but could be leapfrogged by city rivals Torino, who play Lazio in Sunday’s early Serie A kick-off.
