Former England manager Fabio Capello has emerged as a potential replacement for Arsene Wenger on the Arsenal bench next season.

Capello is currently in China with Jiangsu Suning, but left by mutual consent after two defeats in the opening three Super League games.

The 71-year-old would be making his Premier League debut, but was in charge of the England squad from December 2007 to February 2012.

Don Fabio also sat on the bench of Milan, Real Madrid, Roma, Juventus and the Russia squad.

According to bookies Ladbrokes and The Sun, Capello immediately got into contention to succeed Wenger after a 20-year stint in London.

Other candidates for Arsenal include Carlo Ancelotti, who is also tipped for the Italy job, Tomas Tuchel and even Thierry Henry.
