Fabio Capello says Manchester City are ‘a team without weaknesses’ ahead of their Champions League clash with Juventus.

The former Bianconeri and England Coach also believes that Claudio Marchisio’s absence will hurt Juve, but that the tournament will give the struggling Old Lady ‘new motivation’.

The match will take place at the Etihad Stadium in Manchester on Tuesday evening, with kick off at 19:45 UK time.

“In Europe the favourites are Real Madrid, Barcelona and Bayern Munich, but I think Manchester City are also very strong,” Capello said to Tuttosport.

“The Champions League is a whole other scene compared to Serie A – it’ll make them find new motivation. In Italy there’s time to recover.

“Juve will definitely be one of the top sides, Chelsea are also in trouble in the Premier League.

“The Bianconeri will start with a defensive system of play that they are very familiar with and with Hernanes they can rediscover the fluidity of their game.

“Losing Marchisio is a big blow, he’s the player who can best perform in Pirlo’s role. Hernanes needs to settle in but he can operate as a playmaker.

“Without Aguero, City will lose a lot. He’s a charismatic player and a point of reference for them.

“But it’ll be a very difficult match for Juventus because City could have taken a leap forward with their mentality.

“It’s a team without weaknesses. Maybe it was rash to sell Dzeko to Roma. Yaya Toure is a real tank!

“To win, Juve will need to start quickly and with character.”
