Fabio Capello believes we’ll see ‘home advantage wiped out and real leaders make the difference’ when the Coppa Italia and Serie A return.
We’re three months into the lockdown due to COVID-19 and Calcio is back tonight with the Coppa Italia semi-final Juventus-Milan at 20.00 UK time (19.00 GMT).
“The months spent on the couch will take their toll, help propagate injuries, among the other damage left behind by this virus,” Capello told La Repubblica.

“The months spent on the couch will take their toll, help propagate injuries, among the other damage left behind by this virus,” Capello told La Repubblica.
“The best teams are still more likely to win, whether there’s COVID-19 or not, but we will see some changes. As we already saw in Germany, home advantage is wiped out when playing behind closed doors, so the teams with real leaders will make the difference.”
Juventus are top of the Serie A table, but only one point clear of Lazio, with Inter in third and Atalanta fourth place.
“Juve are the favourites because they have more quality, but Lazio are solid and fully aware of how strong they are,” added Capello.
“I really like Atalanta, as they have the right mentality and legs for the task.”
