Fabio Capello said Inter ‘have won’ the Scudetto after the 2-1 win over Torino and wanted to ‘congratulate’ coach Antonio Conte.

The Nerazzurri are nine points clear at the top, as Milan lost 1-0 to Napoli on Sunday, but Capello insisted he was sure Conte’s men would go all the way.

“I have bee saying it for weeks that Inter have won the championship,” Capello told Sky Sport Italia. “I have been saying this since Milan lost against Spezia and I reconfirm it today.”

Romelu Lukaku and Lautaro Martinez scored one each in the win at the Stadio Grande Torino and Capello compared the attacking duo.

“On a technical level, I don’t think there’s any discussion,” he said. “Lautaro is superior to Lukaku.

“Lukaku is physically stronger, he is faster, but Lautaro is absolutely superior technically.”

Conte is, according to Capello, heading for silverware in his second season as Inter coach and praised the Nerazzurri tactician.

“We have to congratulate him,” Capello continued. “He understood that playing more exposed going forward, gets more difficult.

“It was intelligent. In my opinion, Juventus are more complete in terms of squad than Inter. One more year of work with the same team did a lot for Conte, he knows the squad better now."
