“At that time Paolo had problems with his knees. He trained with us at Milan and was the attacking partner of [José] Altafini. We always lost because it was not possible to stop them. You were surprised by the speed and his technique," Capello told Sky Sport.
“I think about him on the training pitch of Juventus. I knew him as man, when we worked together on TV,” he added.
What would he tell Rossi now? Capello tried to hold back his tears.
“Are you happy? Are you having fun playing with [Diego Armando] Maradona? Do it now, because we’ll I’ll join you, I’ll make you run.”
