Fabio Capello was impressed with Juventus’ acquisitions of both Angel Di Maria and Paul Pogba, feeling they’ll add a lot to Massimiliano Allegri’s squad.

The Bianconeri have been looking to key some creative producers to their squad this summer after a fairly lethargic season under Allegri last campaign. The injury to Federico Chiesa and slow start of Dusan Vlahovic highlighted the lack of imagination in the Juventus squad, forcing action in the transfer market.

Speaking to La Stampa, Capello gave his thoughts on the moves of Di Maria and Pogba to Juventus.

“Excellent signings, they will bring quality and character, they can give more to the game. I’ve always liked the Argentinian very much, he has technique and dribbling, he is ideal for Vlahovic.

“And the Frenchman, in addition to power, possesses great game vision.”

Juventus finished fourth in Serie A last season, securing a spot in the Champions League after a difficult start to the campaign. Allegri knows that the fans won’t accept another disappointing year, so he’ll be hoping to get off to a strong start to fight Milan and Inter for the Scudetto.

It’s likely that the Bianconeri will make a couple more signings before the end of the summer transfer window, especially if Matthijs de Ligt does make the move to Bayern Munich.
