Fabio Cannavaro could become the new manager of China after his fellow 2006 World Cup hero Marcello Lippi resigned, it’s reported.

Lippi first went to China in 2012 with club Guangzhou Evergrande, then switched over to become their technical director in November 2014.

From October 2016 to last month, former Italy tactician Lippi was the Coach of the China national team.

Funnily enough, it was World Cup winning captain Cannavaro who replaced Lippi as Coach of Guangzhou Evergrande.
