Antonio Candreva is all set to leave Sampdoria for Salernitana and he could be joined by Spezia midfielder Giulio Maggiore.

According to multiple sources, 35-year-old Candreva will have his medical with the Stadio Arechi side on Friday.

It is going to be a loan deal with obligation to buy in case of Serie A safety for €1m, with the veteran signing a two-year contract at €1.5m per season.

Candreva leaves Sampdoria after two years, 70 games and 12 goals.

Salernitana remain active on the transfer market and Sportitalia claim they are close to a deal for Spezia midfielder Maggiore.

He was frozen out of a pre-season match after refusing to play unless his captain’s armband was restored, creating a split within the squad.

His contract is running down, so it was another way of pushing him towards either renewing or accepting a transfer.

Torino had been tracking Maggiore, but it’s now reported Salernitana are close to a fee of €4m plus bonuses.

There are still discussions over personal terms, but should even out at a salary of €1m per season.
