Cancelo seemingly denied Tuttosport’s front page, which read the former Inter loanee ‘called on’ Juventus to sign him, but he asserted Europe’s elite club competition was in his sights, in an apparent knockback to Wolverhampton Wanderers.
“I don't know if I'm disappointed by Inter, perhaps 'disappointment' isn't the right word, but I expected more” the Valencia right-back is quoted as saying by the newspaper.
"I thought someone from Inter would say something like this: 'we don't have the money to buy you right now, but good luck for your future'.
"There wasn't even that though. Inter was an important stage in my career and it's a great club, now let's see what happens.
"Wolves and Juventus? At the moment I won't rule out anything, but playing in the Champions League is definitely my goal.
“I earned it on the pitch with Inter and I’d like to go back to this competition, but I haven’t received any official or concrete offers yet, so I can’t say anything."
