Sportitalia claim that Valencia are prepared to turn down a €30m proposal for Cancelo from Tottenham Hotspur to ensure that they don’t miss out on Kondogbia.

Meanwhile, the midfielder is back in training with Inter, albeit separate from the rest of the group.

The two clubs have already agreed terms for Jeison Murillo, who is ready to join Valencia for €13m, but Luciano Spalletti blocked the transfer until there is a suitable replacement.

The Serie A season begins this weekend and the Nerazzurri take on Fiorentina in the opening round with a shortage of centre-backs.
