Victor Osimhen was running again and trained separately as Napoli prepare for the big game against Leicester.

The Nigeria international was ruled out with multiple fractures in his face after a clash of heads with Inter defender Milan Skriniar in the 3-2 defeat to the Nerazzurri in Serie A.

The Partenopei are currently going through an injury crisis, as Luciano Spalletti must cope without other key players like Kalidou Kouliably, Zambo Anguissa, Lorenzo Insigne and Fabian Ruiz.

Manolas back in training, but Napoli’s injury crisis continues ahead of Leicester

But there’s some good news on the injury front, as Kostas Manolas returned to train with the rest of the group today, while Osimhen started working on his physique after undergoing facial surgery.

If the separate training goes well, the former LOSC Lille striker could get the green light to start with physical contact wearing a protective mask.

Nigeria have been given hope too, as they feared the striker would miss out on the upcoming Africa Cup of Nations this winter.
