Young defender Michele Camporese isn't seeking a move away from Fiorentina, despite the increased competition the Viola's spending spree has created.
Centre-back Camporese was restricted to just seven Serie A appearances last term, and opportunities could be even harder to come by under Vincenzo Montella in the forthcoming season, with new boys Ahmed Hegazy, Gonzalo Rodriguez and Facundo Roncaglia providing some stiff competition.
However, according to agent Claudio Chiellini, the Italian Under-21 international is going nowhere.
“Michele has to work to recover his optimal shape and make himself available to the Coach,” said Chiellini in an interview with Radio Blue.
“Fiorentina moved well in the market, taking important players. Michele's future? The boy signed a new contract a few months ago, there is the will to move forward.
“It's normal to have competition at a club like the Viola. It must be the same for Camporese and he must earn the starting berth.”
A highly rated 20-year-old, Camporese broke into Fiorentina's first team the season before last, doing an impressive job of marking Zlatan Ibrahimovic on his Serie A debut.
