Azzurri World Cup winner Mauro Camoranesi has today confirmed that he will retire from playing at the end of the season.

The 37-year-old, who is currently with Argentine outfit Racing Avellaneda, admitted that his current physical condition played a big part in his decision.

“It’s very frustrating to not be able to train well,” Camoranesi has said on Argentine radio.

“I am one of those people who always wants to play, but at the moment I can’t.

“At the moment I still feel like a player and I want to retire playing, not like I am now.

“It is decided, I will retire in June.”

The former Juventus” data-scaytid=”7″>Juventus midfielder then spoke of his plans for the future.

“I’m going to be a Coach, I can’t wait to get started,” he revealed. “As for who will be my inspiration in my Coaching career, I really like Marcello Lippi.”
