The Cameroon FA confirms Inter goalkeeper André Onana has been temporarily suspended from the national team for disciplinary reasons.

The 26-year-old was surprisingly dropped from the team ahead of today’s 3-3 draw against Serbia at the World Cup.

The Nerazzurri star had a technical argument with coach Rigobert Song who said at a post-match press conference that Onana had to respect the rules, revealing that he could have continued at Qatar 2022 if his attitude changed.

The Cameroon FA have now released an official statement confirming that Onana has been temporarily suspended due to disciplinary reasons.

They have not specified whether the World Cup is over for him, but must likely Onana won’t feature again for his national team at Qatar 2022.

The Cameroon FA, chaired by Inter legend Samuel Eto’o, confirmed their full support to the head coach in an official statement published on their social media accounts.

Onana has 35 caps to his name and made his senior debut with his national team in September 2016.
