The 34-year-old has signed a one year contract with the Foxes, having previously told the Press that he couldn't have joined another Italian club after spending so long with Inter.

It represents a big signing for Leicester, as Cambiasso currently stands as the second most decorated Argentinean footballer of all time, behind only by the late Alfredo Di Stefano.

The veteran midfielder spoke out earlier in the week about the bitterness he felt after being treated poorly by Inter, but says he is now focused on his new career in England.

“I deserved better,” he told Sky Sport Italia. “It would’ve been fair to let me know the contract would not be renewed a little earlier, not even three or four months, but that would’ve given me time to think.

“Instead I found out the day before the last game of the season with Chievo. Considering all I’d been through in these 10 years with Inter, they could’ve told me a week earlier.”
