Former Inter midfielder Esteban Cambiasso has retired from professional football and is expected to become a sporting director.
Cambiasso’s contract with Olympiakos expired over the summer, and Spanish news agency EFE reports he has completed a course at the Coverciano coaching school, which allows him to manage youth teams and assist top-flight clubs.
However, the Greek Press believes the 37-year-old will pursue a role upstairs, as opposed to in the dugout.

Cambiasso returned to Los Blancos in 2002, winning La Liga once, but he is best known for his 10-year spell with Inter, where he played over 400 times and lifted five Scudetti, as well as one Champions League.
He spent the final three years of his playing career with Leicester City and Olympiacos, while he represented Argentina on 52 occasions, including at the 2006 World Cup.
