That result has seen them move to within six points of leaders Juventus and five of their Stadio Giuseppe Meazza rivals.

That result has seen them move to within six points of leaders Juventus and five of their Stadio Giuseppe Meazza rivals.

“We knew it wasn't going to be easy, but we had belief in ourselves,” the Argentine told Inter Channel.

“This game isn't about the table, it's the derby. It was something different from everything else, regardless of the other results this afternoon.

“We’ve now won the derby, but we still have a lot to do…”

Claudio Ranieri’s side collected the victory thanks to a second half strike from Diego Milito, a man who is back in form.

“It wasn't an easy finish as he didn't have much of an angle, but he managed to stick it away,” the former Real Madrid man noted. “He did superbly.”
