Esteban Cambiasso has praised new boss Walter Mazzarri for giving Inter a purpose and clear direction.
The Nerazzurri have made a bright start to the season after Mazzarri replaced the sacked Andrea Stramaccioni during the summer.
“Mazzarri has taught us so many concepts, but we have managed to get to grips with them quite quickly,” the midfielder told Area after last season’s ninth-placed finish in Serie A.
“We have rediscovered some self confidence because we believe in what we are doing. Not just in games, but especially in the work we do during the week.
“If that wasn’t the case then we wouldn’t have put in the performance we did against Juventus.”
Although the Beneamata’s 100 per cent record came to an end during the weekend, they did impress in their 1-1 draw with Juventus.
“Everyone is talking about the result from Saturday, but remember what we did against Genoa and Catania – games we won without conceding a goal,” the former Real Madrid man added.
“After three games we have let in just one goal and that came against Juventus. We also have seven points from nine on offer. What is happening is not by chance.”
