Milan have to wait until Francesco Camarda turns 16 before they can lock him down to a professional contract, and the teenage sensation has no doubts about his future.

The striker made Serie A history on Saturday when he became the youngest ever debutant in the Italian topflight, coming off the bench at the age of 15 years and 260 days old. He received a warm welcome from the Rossoneri faithful at San Siro, who loudly sung his name and cheered him.

Camarda was promoted to the Milan Primavera squad by Paolo Maldini at the start of the summer and he’s been a revelation at Under-19 level, scoring seven goals and providing two assists across 13 matches.

As detailed by Daniele Longo of Calciomercato.com, Milan cannot lock down Camarda to his first professional contract until his 16th birthday on March 10, so the club have pencilled in a meeting to hand him a three-year deal, the maximum allowed.

The 15-year-old has no doubts about his future, wanting to move forward with the Rossoneri and continue his development.

Camarda shared his emotions after his Serie A debut on Instagram, writing that ‘it was something unique that I will never forget’ and that ‘I discovered that I have a second home’.
