Matteo Moretto reports that Francesco Calzona will sign his contract with Napoli today and debut at the Stadio Maradona on Wednesday against Barcelona.

The Italian tactician is expected in Naples this morning when he will sign a contract until the end of the season, reports transfer pundit Matteo Moretto on X, formerly Twitter.

It was previously reported that Calzona had reached a ‘total agreement’ with the Partenopei.

According to Moretto, there’s no doubt that Calzona will be in the Napoli dugout on Wednesday for the first leg of the Champions League Round of 16 against Barcelona.

Sky Sport Italia confirms today, Monday, February 19, could be a ‘decisive’ day for Walter Mazzarri’s future.

According to journalist Gianluca Di Marzio, WM has not yet been informed about his sacking and is expected to oversee a training session in the afternoon.

However, even Di Marzio confirms Aurelio De Laurentiis could meet Calzona in the late morning.

  1. Napoli fans must not blame Garcia & Mazarri, it’s all ADL’s fault. From the beginning, it’s all obvious they both were not the right coaches for Napoli, but ADL’s ego ruined it. He should coach his club himself.
