Milan CEO Adriano Galliani and Lega Serie B President Andrea Abodi are pushing for goal-line technology.
It has been introduced in the World Cup and the Premier League, but is yet to be implemented in Serie A stadiums.
“The time has come for goal-line technology in Italy too,” wrote Lega Serie B President Abodi on Twitter.
“There is not one single good reason not to apply it.”

Milan CEO Galliani agreed with the call after a controversial incident in their 2-0 win over Udinese.
“I don’t want to blame the referee, as there are instruments that would allow officials to know for sure,” Galliani told reporters.
“Maybe the black and white stripes just bring us bad luck…”
He was referring to another ‘phantom goal’ Sulley Muntari famously scored against Juventus at San Siro.
Even multiple video replays do not clarify the Adil Rami header this afternoon, although Sky Sport Italia’s technology suggests the ball still had a few millimetres level with the line.
“From tomorrow, I will begin the battle to introduce this technology so we can understand immediately if it is a goal or not.
“The human eye can make mistakes, so let’s buy these machines and use them. All sports use technology now, I don’t understand why in football people act as if it’s heresy.”
