Jose Callejon believes Napoli are still in the hunt for the Scudetto despite their poor start to the season.
Echoing the words of Marek Hamsik, the Spanish winger remains optimistic that despite a start which has seen two defeats in their opening six games the Partenopei can catch Juventus and Roma.
“The Scudetto? We will try,” Callejon has told Onda Cero this week.
“I think our team has to believe that we can do it. Juve and Roma are great teams, but there’s still so long to go.”
Callejon also spoke of the challenges of adapting to life in Naples, admitting that the passion of the local fans makes it difficult to live a normal life in the city.
“It wasn’t difficult to adapt to life in Italy. My family is doing well, and I there are several fellow Spanish players in the team.
“There’s a lot of passion for football [in Naples], and it’s hard to actually go out, but you get used to it.
“When we leave the stadium the fans always surround our cars, often they bang on the windows to get our attention.
“What do we say to them when this happens? We tell them to calm down!”
