Jose Callejon turned down a move to Shanghai Shenhua and is now negotiating a contract extension with Napoli.
According to La Gazzetta dello Sport, Callejon was approached at the same time as Juventus winger Juan Cuadrado and Roma’s Stephan El Shaarawy, with the Little Pharaoh accepting the transfer for €18m.
Callejon’s contract with Napoli is due to expire at the end of this season, so talks have begun for a renewal.

It’s reported that the 32-year-old Spaniard would like a deal to June 2022, whereas the club is more likely to offer one season with option for another year.
He has been at the Stadio San Paolo since leaving Real Madrid in 2013.
