Join the discussion, as fans and pundits react to Turkey international Hakan Calhanoglu’s decision to not renew with Milan and reportedly join local rivals Inter on a free transfer this summer.

Sky Sport Italia reports the former Bayer Leverkusen star is ready to sign a three-year deal with Inter and will undergo his medical tomorrow.

Calhanoglu’s future at Milan has been uncertain throughout 2020-21 and he has eventually decided against renewing with the Diavolo.

The 27-year-old attacking midfielder has been linked with moves abroad but Inter surprisingly emerged in pole position for his signature.

The Nerazzurri have scheduled for his medical and will sign a deal worth €5m a year plus bonuses with the player, who has played 172 competitive games with Milan, contributing 32 goals and 48 assists in the process.

Fans and pundits react to the decision of leaving the Rossoneri to sign as a free agent for their local rivals.

Calhanoglu will thus continue to play at San Siro next season but seems set to feature in Nerazzurro.
