Milan forward Hakan Calhanoglu seems destined to leave San Siro for free this summer, as he is far from reaching an agreement with the Rossoneri.

Tuttosport reports the gap between the offer and the demand is too big for the two parties to reach an agreement before the contract expires on June 30.

The 27-year-old helped Milan reach the Champions League in 2020-21, as he contributed 10 assists and four goals in 33 Serie A games this term.

But the renewal was a hot topic for most of the campaign and the former Bayer Leverkusen man never reached an agreement with the directors at Milanello.

The imminent farewell is thus confirmed by Tuttosport, who claims the chances of a renewal has reduced even further.

The attacking midfielder will bid farewell to Milan in the coming weeks and follow Gigio Donnarumma out the door.

Calhanoglu has spent four years with the Diavolo, after he arrived for a reported €23.3m in July 2017.

He has since player 172 games for Milan, scoring 32 goals and 48 games, but will move on to pastures new this summer.
