Hakan Calhanoglu urges Inter to set the Coppa Italia Final to one side and focus on Empoli, so they can ‘put a bit more pressure on Milan.’

It kicks off at San Siro at 17.45 UK time (16.45 GMT).

You can follow all the build-up and action as it happens from this game and Genoa-Juventus on the LIVEBLOG.

These fixtures are brought forward to Friday because Inter and Juve go head-to-head at the Stadio Olimpico in Rome for the Coppa Italia on Wednesday May 11.

“All objectives are important for us, but let us leave the Coppa Italia to one side for the moment, because we want to win the Scudetto,” Calhanoglu told Inter TV.

“This is a very important game for us, if we win then we’ll put a bit more pressure on Milan. We have to take it one game at a time.”

A victory would put Inter temporarily top of the table, awaiting Milan’s difficult trip to Hellas Verona on Sunday.

“We are concentrated, analysed Empoli carefully, because they do play beautiful football. We must make the most of all our scoring opportunities and take the three points.”

Calhanoglu was suspended for last week’s win against Udinese, but he returns here in midfield, a different position to the more advanced one he had at rivals Milan last season.

“I enjoy this tactical role and feel more freedom. I always want to give my best for the team and these are my characteristics. The most important thing is that the team wins.”
