Calhanoglu acquitted in Turkey

Milan midfielder Hakan Calhanoglu has been acquitted of threatening and beating singer Anita Latifi.

The Turkish international had a brief relationship with Latifi in 2014, during which she alleged she had fallen pregnant.

Given that Calhanoglu was married at the time, she claimed he made threats, forced her to abort the pregnancy and physically assaulted her.

However, Gazzetta dello Sport reports that a court in Turkey has found the midfielder not guilty, and sentenced his accuser to 70 hours of community service for false testimony and defamation.
