Roma's Vasilis Torosidis will face at least a week on the sidelines after being diagnosed with a calf strain.
The Greek defender played no part in the Giallorossi’s 1-1 draw with CSKA Moscow in the Champions League on Tuesday night, and the club has confirmed that the full-back is struggling with a calf strain.
“Earlier today, Vasilis Torosidis underwent medical tests that revealed a grade-one strain to his right calf,” reads a statement on Roma’s official website.
“The player has already started treatment on the injury.”
A grade one calf strain is the least severe injury of this type, with recovery time usually estimated within a week or two.
However, the injury does mean that Torosidis will not feature for the Lupi when they take on Inter on Sunday evening.
