With Alessio Romagnoli likely to leave Milan this month, Davide Calabria is set to to inherit the captain’s armband and Theo Hernandez will be promoted to vice-captain.
Current captain Romagnoli has not renewed his contract with the Rossoneri, so he’s set to leave the club at the end of this month as things stand. The Italian centre back was made captain for the 2018-19 season, following the departure of previous incumbent Leonardo Bonucci.
As highlighted by Calciomercato.com, Calabria will be promoted to captain following Romagnoli’s departure, barring any surprises. Coach Stefano Pioli and the dressing room believe him to be the right choice due to his leadership and attachment to the club, being a product of their youth system.
Theo Hernandez will then become Milan’s new vice-captain. The Frenchman, who arrived in 2019 from Real Madrid, has already worn the captain’s armband four times last year, once in the Coppa Italia and three times in the league.

Should be Tonali
while i believe Tonali to be of the right character to be captain i think its too early for him , Calabria is a good choice , Tonali should be allowed to grow and develop more before the weight of the captains armband is trust upon him , he is for sure the future captain of Milan
Calabria deserves it.
Calabria is definitely the good choice. And as much as Tonali is a great choice one should not forget Theo.
We should remember last season when Theo broke out and was a beast. Already he could’ve left and joined other clubs but he didn’t. He’s one of the most hottest properties out there and he chose to be with Milan. Italian captains are great but yeah Theo over Tonali any day when it comes to VC right now.

A healthy Kjaer gets my vote. But then again, as long as Ibra is around…we all know who the real capitano is regardless of whether there is a armband around someone’s arm.
It’s great to see many players in this Milan era is captain material just like the previous Milan era that won the CL.
I really think this is a good choice, Calabria represent Milan’s value in loyalty and determination.
He can only get better in time.
