Davide Calabria says the group was the secret to Milan‘s title victory: ‘It’s the reward for what we’ve done.’
The Rossoneri have won their 19th Serie A title, their first one in 11 years.
“There is everything in my heart, we have made sacrifices, the last few years have been difficult, but we’ve reaped the rewards of our work,” Calabria told DAZN.
“The coach has allowed Theo and me to be free. We have a tricky playing style for opponents. I used to play as a central midfielder, so I am accustomed to playing in the middle of the pitch.
“This is a fantastic group. We’ve done everything we could, maybe even more. It’s a reward for what we’ve done. I am proud of this team.
“The group has been crucial. You don’t win without a group. Leao has improved a lot. He is a different player. He must continue like this.”
