Milan captain Davide Calabria insists all players ‘must take responsibility’ but insists he and his teammates are ‘not sad’ due to their bad run of form.

The defending Serie A champions picked up two draws in the last two Serie A games and were eliminated from the Coppa Italia at the hands of Torino last week.

“We have spoken but we are as competitive as we were before. I didn’t see my teammates sad, we didn’t get the results we wanted, but we should not have negative thoughts for this reason. We must continue to play as we are doing and results will come,” Calabria said at a press conference ahead of tomorrow’s Supercoppa derby.

“Those with more experience talk, but the whole team takes responsibility. If we want to become a top team, everyone must feel part of this project.

“What we told each other must remain inside the dressing room. We have a final tomorrow and we must give our all to win this match.

“We want to win more, this is what a great team must aim for,” the captain continued.

“The season is long a physical drop is normal, we want to win this game, this is our focus. We have studied some situations and we no longer want to make certain mistakes.”

Tomorrow, Calabria will face his compatriot and friend Federico Dimarco on the same flank.

“We’ve raised together with the national team, I am happy he is doing well. It will be a nice challenge.

“I’ve been at Milan for my entire career which I hope will end here, but I am not thinking about this now.”
