Davide Calabria won’t be available against Belgium as the Milan defender has pulled out of the Italy squad with a muscular injury.

The Azzurri will face Belgium in the UEFA Nations League third-place Final at the Allianz Stadium tomorrow.

According to Gianlucadimarzio, the Milan defender won’t be eligible to play due to a muscular injury to the adductor of his right thig.

Calabria will return to Milanello in the coming hours to assess his recovery time and begin his recovery program.

The Rossoneri host Hellas Verona at the Stadio Giuseppe Meazza after the break.

They then travel to Porto in their third Champions League group stage game on Tuesday, October 19 and play away at Bologna on Saturday, October 23.

Last summer, Calabria extended his contract with the Rossoneri until June 2025.

The 24-year-old is a product of the club’s academy and has collected 158 appearances with the Serie A giants.

He made his senior Azzurri debut in November 2020 and has three caps to his name with the senior Italy national team.

  1. A shame. I would have liked to see Calabria push Di Lorenzo a little bit for some healthy competition.

    Would have been a good opportunity to give him some minutes.
